Data Recovery
Xenoplanet makes daily tape backups
of all customer websites. These backups are primarily intended to facilitate
disaster-recovery in the event of a server crash or disk failure.
Xenoplanet provides non-disaster
data recovery to customers upon request. This service is available for
a per-incident fee of $58.
In the event that you need to recover
your website (or files on your website), please contact us immediately
with the following information:
- Date and time from which to retrieve your files (this must
be within the last 5 days)
- Listing or description of files which need to be restored
- Any special instructions
Our daily tape backup runs approximately 20 hours
per day. This leaves only a small time-window each day in which to handle
non-disaster data recovery requests. Please allow 24 hours for your
site to be restored once you have contacted us with the above information.
You will be notified by eMail immediately once your site has been restored.
